La plantation du bout du monde au milieu de la forêt subtropicale de la Martinique : détruite en 1929 par l'irruption du volcan La Montagne Pelée. Elle produisait du rhum, du sirop de canne à sucre, du café, du cacao, des citrons et divers fruits. La route partant de Saint Pierre était alors un chemin pavé puis un sentier. 350 à 400 esclaves y travaillaient. Ici : les machines à broyer.
The plantation of the end of the world in the middle of the subtropical forest of Martinique : destroyed in 1929 by the raid of the volcano Mount Pelée. It produced some rum, some syrup of sugar cane, some coffee, some cocoa, lemons and diverse fruits. The road leaving from Saint Pierre was then a paved road then a path. 350 to 400 slaves worked on it. Here : the machines to crush.
